If Kenya’s electronic and experimental music scene is currently on the map of any attentive music lover, it is mostly due to Slikback’s uncanny and prolific production. After making a name for himself through the trailblazer label Nyege Nyege and sublabel Hakuna Kulala, Slikback climbed the notoriety ladder by becoming a producer of producer, or your favourite producer’s favourite producer, a stage that allowed him to quickly draw collaborations with the likes of Brodinski, Giant Swan, HYPH11E and Abadir. The rule is: that everything sounds new, and nothing gets boring. Skip the leg day and leave it to Slikback.
