Marina Herlop

Yet another artist sealed with quality stamp of Berlin-based label PAN, Marina Herlop is, as excepted, an artist testing the boundaries of her instruments and expanding on them. Classically trained as a pianist, the Spaniard’s compositions are mostly centered around her wits on the keys and her mesmerizing voice without repeating the canonical formulas used by singer-songwriters equiped with the same outputs. Her use of piano, rhythmically complex and less reliant of melodic endeavors, allows her to manipulate both keys and voice digitally, transitioning her works to the realms of electronica - a very uncanny fashion of it.
